Overview

About this machine

The riveting machine is special riveting equipment developed and designed by Anyang Forging Press in the early 1980s to meet the needs of the automobile industry and to introduce and absorb foreign technology. As the automotive industry developed, the equipment underwent multiple generational innovations.

Traditional riveting machines use three-phase asynchronous motors driving oil pumps at constant rated speed, causing energy waste when pressurizing and unloading through relief valve overflow.

Through the servo transformation and upgrading of traditional riveting machines, Anyang has realized energy saving, consumption reduction, green forging and clean production.

Design features and technology

Servo-hydraulic system principle

The electro-hydraulic servo system integrates servo and hydraulic technologies, combining internal gear pumps with synchronized servo motors to intelligently control motor speed and achieve the required pressure and flow.

40–60% energy savings

The energy saving effect is obvious, reaching 40–60% depending on the frequency of riveting.

No booster system

The direct-drive servo-hydraulic system eliminates the 1:4 booster cylinder present in existing systems. The supercharged cylinder is difficult to process and has a high failure rate. The new system features high-speed dynamic response capability, with a response time of about 50 ms.

Servo all-in-one technology

Compared with the asynchronous motor, the volume is reduced by 30% at the same power. The integrated solution is compact and space-efficient, eliminates additional electric control cabinets and uses aviation plug wiring for simplified installation.

Full closed-loop system

The servo system adopts full closed-loop control. According to the pressure and flow required by the actual requirements of the riveting machine, pump control technology replaces valve control technology, which eliminates throttling loss and achieves the energy saving effect.

Real-time monitoring

The system tracks current flow output and pressure output in real time through encoders and pressure sensors, supplying only the needed oil amounts with no overflow loss.

Simplified structure

The structure is simple and the failure rate is low: the booster cylinder, relief valve and others are removed, which prolongs the service life of the equipment.

Low noise

The noise of the servo-hydraulic system changes with the speed and is 8–10 dB lower. For comparison: ordinary riveting machine 75 dB; servo-hydraulic riveting machine when pressurized 65 dB; servo-hydraulic riveting machine when fast forwarding or rewinding 45 dB.

Low oil temperature

Since the servo-hydraulic riveting machine does not need a high-pressure overflow and the oil pump is at zero speed when not riveting, the oil temperature can be reduced by 10–20 °C compared with a traditional machine. Cooling fan operation is automatically controlled at low loads.

Digital control system

Data communication with the PLC through the man-machine interface means different rivets can be riveted by setting different process parameters — truly realizing multi-purpose use of one machine.
