About this machine

The J58K Series Electric Screw Press is used for all kinds of precision forging, sizing, precision pressing, calibration and leveling. The hitting energy is adjusted accurately, with a short stroke and stable energy from blow to blow.

Energy settings reduce the mechanical and thermal stress on the dies and extend their lifespan. Its low slider speed gives it unique advantages when forging non-ferrous metals such as aluminium alloy and copper.

The press uses advanced frequency conversion control technology, has a simple and reliable structure and can provide greater working energy than classic friction presses.

Design features and technology

Working principle

The slide moves vertically through the motor-driven pinion, gearwheel and screw. The gearwheel acts as a flywheel with sufficient inertia. On activation the motor accelerates the slide from standstill to the preset speed, then stops accelerating once the required blow energy is reached; the kinetic energy of the gearwheel performs the forming work.

Combined pre-stressed frame

The combined frame eliminates notch stress concentration between the working table and the columns, and between the crossbeam and the columns. Large presses can be dismantled into transportable pieces. Under identical tensile stress its extensibility is only 20% of a unibody frame.

CrMoV alloy steel screw

The screw is forged from CrMoV high alloy steel, with a thread type offering good fatigue resistance, no self-lock, stable installation and short length, which increases the rigidity of the press.

Bronze nut

The nut is made of bronze and installed inside the slide, providing good abrasive resistance and safe emergency sliding performance.

45-degree guiding system

The guides are arranged at 45 degrees to the slide block surface, so the clearance stays constant and is unaffected by thermal expansion. Bronze and steel guiding sets run on nitrogen-treated guide rails, and the guide plates adjust from each direction for minimal clearance.

Flywheel with overload protection

The flywheel adopts friction overload protection — safe and reliable — which protects the drive train in the event of a blow beyond the rated capacity.

Direct-acting brake

The brake engages directly via the gear mechanics, enabling braking at any position. Spring force closes the brake while pneumatic control opens it.

Driving unit

A squirrel-cage three-phase forward and reverse asynchronous motor drives the precision screw — a low-maintenance, high-reliability solution. The special motor runs at high RPM with less torque, and each press tonnage gets a correspondingly rated motor.

Monitored lubricating oil circulation

A monitored lubricating oil circulation system constantly lubricates the spiral thrust bearing and sustains guide rail lubrication through numerous circulation cycles.

Cast, stress-relieved slide block

The slide block is a high-class steel casting given a full aging treatment to relieve internal stress.
